fraudulent entity?

by Amy Wood 4 months ago 105 views 1 replies
I have been contacted repeatedly by [email protected] offering me fundraising marketing services. they also sent me a contract through upwork under the name Adepoju Blessing Adeola. They are convincing and if this is a legitimate associate I would work with them. However, if the 'backernation' part of their email is deceptive, I need to know and warn other creators of the issue.  I've attempted to contact thebackernation through their contact form and just keep getting a 'message failed to send try later' I really want to check on this person before proceeding, any advice?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for being cautious.

We would like to clarify that TheBackerNation has not authorized nor is affiliated with any individual or entity contacting creators from email addresses such as [email protected], nor do we offer fundraising or marketing services through unsolicited external outreach, private agreements, or contracts sent via third-party platforms such as Upwork.

All official communications from TheBackerNation are conducted exclusively through our verified domains and official platform channels. The use of the name “backernation” in external email addresses may be misleading, and we strongly advise creators to exercise caution.

We are aware of this report and are reviewing the situation internally. In the meantime, we recommend not signing any contracts, not making payments, and not sharing sensitive information with this individual.

If other creators have received similar messages, please report them directly to our support team so we can investigate further.

Thank you for helping us keep the community safe.
